HISTORIC HIGH-RISE APARTMENT

Our clients purchased an apartment in a 100+ year old high-rise building on Lake Shore Drive.    The views of the lake are stunning, but the interior spaces needed an update.   FDA collaborated with interior designers, Kaufman Segal Design, and worked with our clients to design and build the project in two phases. Phase One focused on renovation of the front of the apartment including the main living spaces, a library/family room, the kitchen, laundry, and powder room.    The opening between the library/family room and the living and dining room was made wider and now has a pair of glass and steel sliding doors.  The kitchen layout was optimized and outfitted with custom cabinetry and high-end appliances     The powder room and adjacent laundry area were reconfigured creating more functionality and an improved flow.

Phase Two (in progress) focuses on the rear of the apartment including the primary bedroom suite and an adjacent guest bedroom suite.
