BREEZEWAY CONNECTION & BACKYARD BEAUTIFICATION

Our clients acquired the adjacent property to their house and asked FDA to design a handful of thoughtful interventions that can accommodate their young, active family. Some of these interventions include a rooftop deck with several planter boxes that house everything between tall grasses to vegetables, a painted steel pergola to shade our clients on a hot summer day, and a screened-in porch that will keep the bugs out while dining outside. There's also several landscaping strips that provide a beautiful backdrop for the backyard and privacy in the front yard. A pool and basketball court will keep the children busy while the adults can grill, eat and drink on the side yard patio.  The patio has new door and window openings into the house to provide both a physical and visual connection between the interior and exterior spaces. The breezeway addition connects the garage to a mud room that provides our clients with many built-in cabinets and lockers to store jackets, shoes and sports equipment.
