INDIANA STATE DUNE HOUSE

Sited on the top of a dune, our client's current vacation home is positioned with several different additions over the course of its life. FDA has been brought in to remove the disjointed additions, open up the main living spaces and elevate the finishes. The proposed design captures the views of Lake Michigan so that our client's can enjoy the lake's beauty while playing board games, sitting by fireplace, or while reading a book. 

Knowing that they want to use this vacation house as a future "age-in-place" house, FDA has planned appropriately for the transformation of use, making sure that the homeowner's needs are addressed completely on the first floor. In addition, solar panels have been integrated into the shallow-pitched, southern-facing roofs.
